No. 111: Earlshen Elon F. Relevante, 9, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
The 9-year old Elon is supposed to have survived the 4-year battle with leukemia. He completed the 14-cycle chemotherapy within 4 years. Elon was already under monitoring for a year before he would be declared cancer-free. But fate decided to bring the boy back to a critical condition, cancer recurred. What’s worst, it happened when both the parents’ resources have been drained being out of the business due to the pandemic. The situation did not stop the parents from fighting for their son’s life. They continue to work with what was left of their resources, but scarcity has always been upon them. The mother took her chances of seeking help for Elon’s medical management.
With the combined generosity of the founder and a volunteer donor, Elon received cash assistance for his medical management, formula milk for his nourishment, and grocery items to share with his family.
