San Andres, Manila
Chummy Chum brought much-needed help and moments of joy to children and families in San Andres, Manila, who had endured flooding and later lost their homes to a fire.
The team was initially traveling from Parañaque to visit flood-affected children in Malabon. After learning that families in San Andres urgently needed support, they immediately changed course. Upon arrival, they found families staying in makeshift shelters built from worn tarpaulins and salvaged materials.
A large vacant tent became the gathering place, where the team distributed loot bags, juice, blankets, coloring materials, Chummy Chum pillows, Bunny Bear items, pre-loved toys and clothes, and much-needed diapers.
Despite the rain and difficult conditions, Chummy Chum performed for the children, bringing laughter, warmth, and a welcome break from their hardships.
Heartfelt gratitude goes to SM City Sucat and Zamony Venture Corporation for their generous support, Bahay Aruga for the diapers, GTVL Company for the warm blankets, and everyone who donated pre-loved toys and clothing. Every act of kindness made a difference.
