Hope and Smiles After the Fire: Chummy Chum and WeCarePH Unite for Children

20 March 2026

Malanday, Marikina City

WeCarePH continues to be a social work-partner in some of the charity events of Chummy Chum for children most in need - marking their 18th collaboration this year. Together, they create a meaningful balance—WeCarePH provides essential aid to underserved communities, while Chummy Chum brings joy and emotional support to children, particularly those from the most vulnerable areas in the National Capital Region.

In this outreach, the two groups extended their support to children and families affected by a recent fire. With the help of volunteers, the event was held at the Pearl Multi-Functional Hall, where booths were set up with snacks, toys, and special giveaways as children were registered and welcomed.

The program featured games led by a lively clown duo, filling the venue with laughter and excitement. Every child received a prize, reinforcing the spirit of inclusivity—no one left empty-handed.

A more meaningful moment followed as a Chummy Chum team leader shared an uplifting message of hope and resilience. The storytelling segment brought Chummy Chum’s story to life, culminating in the mascot’s appearance. Children joyfully gathered around, hugging, dancing, and capturing memorable moments that reflected a sense of comfort and care.

The event concluded with snacks, magic performances, and the distribution of popcorn, cotton candy, and giveaways, with younger children given priority.

Gratitude was once again extended to Chummy Chum and WeCarePH for their unwavering dedication, as well as to SM City Sucat, Zamony Venture Corporation, and generous donors of preloved toys, whose contributions helped make the day meaningful for every child involved.
