Joy Overflows as Chummy Chum Surprises Dimasalang Kids!

The team fulfilled a promise made during their February gift-giving event in Dimasalang—this time with a full, joy-packed children’s party. In one of the most underserved areas of the community, where a meal of rice and a single egg is already considered a blessing, the celebration arrived as an unexpected burst of color and cheer.

The initiative came from two groups of individuals who had witnessed the community’s hardships firsthand. Together with Chummy Chum, they arrived early, arms full of surprises: 100 loot bags, fast-food meals, ice cream, toys, balloons, Christmas packs, and even clowns ready to spark laughter.

The program began with a prayer, followed by lively games that instantly lifted the children’s spirits. But the biggest surprise came when Chummy Chum suddenly appeared. The children gasped, then rushed toward him in pure excitement, hugging him as if welcoming a long-lost friend. Photos with Chummy Chum turned into the highlight of the day.After the games, the teams handed out all the treats they brought—popcorn, cotton candy, coloring books, mooncakes, and Chummy pillows as prizes—along with Oleez biscuits and diapers for families with babies.

The team expressed heartfelt thanks to the secretary of Barangay 531 for the assistance, and to Kokola Company, Zamony Venture Corp., and Yun You for their generous contribution to make the event more fun for the children and their families.

Special thanks also went to Vrix Gallano for donating four sacks of rice, which will be distributed during Chummy Chum’s next outreach.

This marks the second year of bringing surprise, fun, and joy to the most impoverished children in this part of the community—made brighter once again by Chummy Chum.
