Lil received help for himself and his family.

No. 108: Lil Rhane Santiago, 12, Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5, PCMC

Lil was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome when he was 5 (it was the year 2013). It is a kidney health condition. The family had him close-monitor check-ups at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), but because of scarcity, the family was not able to continue the routine medical check-up of Lil. In 2018, he was 10, Lil’s health condition got worst, his body got severely thin and he was very weak. The family brought him to the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) and found out that Lil had already been inflicted with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5. Lil has started dialysis 4x a week since then. The father was removed from his regular job during the pandemic and now works as a tricycle driver. The family is living with the father’s parents.

The head of the foundation immediately asked the foundation’s team to send help for Lil. The child received cash assistance for his medical management, formula milk for his nourishment, and grocery items to share with the family. The founder is extending help to Lil to be given in the next coming days. This is to also help the family make ends meet.
