Chummy Chum started the day bright and early, cooking warm meals for children and families affected by the recent massive fire. While the holidays are meant to be joyful, the team felt the sadness the children had been carrying—and was determined to bring comfort, smiles, and hope during this difficult time.
Along with the hot meals, special gifts, souvenirs, loot bags, and essential items—generously donated by partners — has filled the Chummy Chum booth. While setting up a Taho cart arrived and started serving 300 freshly made cups for children and their families. All of these made the day extra cheerful and memorable.
The program opened with a gentle stress debriefing, followed by fun parlor games that filled the shelter with laughter. The excitement grew when Chummy Chum the mascot appeared! Children ran to hug and greet Chummy Chum, who spent quality time spreading joy and warmth.
To end the celebration, the team distributed hot meals, popcorn, cotton candy, gifts, loot bags, and souvenirs to all the children. Feeling seen, loved, and cared for, the children happily shouted, “Chummy Chum team is great!”
Their bright smiles became a powerful reminder of why this mission matters.
Heartfelt thanks go to all the generous donors who helped make this moment truly special: Ms. Pat and Ms. Thix for loot bags, Ms. Liza and Ms. Aya for pre-loved toys and clothes, ELI for brand-new undergarments, Zamony Venture Corporation for baby diapers, and Sir VG for sharing Taho treats. Together, they turned a difficult day into a festive and joyful memory for the children.
