Spreading Joy and Hope to Fire Victim Children in Taguig

19 Sept 2025

Bryg. Ususan, Taguig City

Following a devastating fire that displaced hundreds of families in one of Taguig’s poorest communities, the Chummy Chum team organized a special charity event to uplift the spirits of the affected children.

Held at the Wildcat Covered Court, the temporary evacuation site, the event brought smiles through fun games, delicious treats, toys, and heartwarming surprises. The children, initially curious, lit up with excitement as booths were set up with popcorn, cotton candy, a hot meal station, and tables of gifts and souvenirs.

The program opened with an introduction to Chummy Chum’s mission: to bring joy and hope to children in crisis. Laughter echoed through the court as the kids joined parlor games and received prizes. The highlight came when Chummy Chum himself danced with the children—creating an unforgettable moment of joy, warmth, and connection.

Each child went back to their tents with a warm meal, a toy, and a souvenir, but more importantly—with the feeling of being seen, loved, and supported.

Even brief moments of kindness can leave a lasting impact. The event reminded everyone of the power of compassion—and how helping others brings joy not just to those in need, but to those who give.
