Spreading Smiles at PCMC: A Day with Chummy Chum

The Chummy Chum Foundation once again brought smiles to young patients at the Philippine Children's Medical Center (PCMC), staying true to its mission of uplifting the spirits of children battling illness.

For many kids at the Out-Patient Department, it was their first time meeting the beloved mascot in person—but the connection was instant. Eyes lit up as Chummy Chum arrived, welcomed by a festive booth filled with tasty treats, hot meals, toys, souvenirs, and the irresistible scent of popcorn and cotton candy—all free and lovingly prepared.

The visit wasn’t just about fun—it was about giving joy to sick children, letting them forget, even just for a while, the painful and difficult battle they are in. Despite their health challenges, the children came alive—dancing, laughing, and hugging Chummy Chum like an old friend.

With the guidance of their parents and guardians, each child got to enjoy the booth in an orderly, joyful line. It was a short visit, but one that turned an ordinary hospital day into a celebration of hope and happiness.
