Unexpected challenges marked today’s Chummy Chum outreach, but compassion found its way through. When the fire victims in Project 6 were no longer at the evacuation center, the team sought guidance from the barangay. However, the identified underprivileged area was inaccessible to Chummy’s vehicle.
Determined to continue, the team proceeded to one of the most impoverished communities in Parañaque, where a mother and community leader generously offered a small space. A brief misunderstanding arose due to limited awareness, but it was quickly resolved through open communication. By then, the Chummy Chum team had already set up, and young children eagerly lined up, their faces filled with excitement as they waited to meet ChummyChum.
The moment Chummy appeared in the middle of the street, joy spread instantly. Laughter, curiosity, and smiles filled the air as children received their gifts, feeling seen, loved, and cared for. What began as an unexpected detour became a meaningful moment of fun, warmth, and connection—one the children will surely remember.
The Chummy Chum Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to Ms. Aya for the donated pre-loved stuffed toys, Zamony Venture Corporation for the diapers, and CLI for the clothing items that helped make this outreach possible.
