Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City
In a quiet corner of United Magdaong, Brgy. Poblacion in Muntinlupa, families were still trying to piece their lives back together after a devastating house fire—one that took nearly everything they owned.
But for the team behind Chummy Chum, moments like this are a call to action. The foundation’s mission has always been simple yet deeply felt: to bring joy to children whose spirits have been weighed down by poverty, loss, and hardship. Whenever they hear of tragedies like house fires, one question comes first—how are the children? How are they feeling, and how are they coping?
Driven by that thought, the team arrived to a group of children already waiting, their eyes filled with anticipation. As food, drinks, and small gifts were prepared, laughter slowly replaced the heaviness in the air. Simple games sparked excitement, and for a while, the worries faded.
Then came the moment they had all been waiting for.
When Chummy Chum appeared, joy erupted. Children ran forward with wide smiles and open arms, eager for hugs, laughter, and a moment of pure happiness. One by one, they received gifts—not just tokens, but reminders that they had not been forgotten.
In a place marked by loss, Chummy Chum brought something just as powerful—hope, warmth, and the simple joy every child deserves.
Behind this moment were generous hearts: volunteers, partners from SM City Sucat and Zamony Venture Corporation, and donors who shared toys and clothing. Together, they helped turn a difficult day into one filled with light.
