August 27, 2022: Social Development Center, Pasay City.
It was Ms. Sheila’s first time joining Chummy Chum in giving joy to the children who were hoping for love and care. She chose to celebrate her birthday at the DSWD Social Development Center in Pasay City, where she met a handful of children who were abandoned by their families and a group of rescued Children In Conflict with the Law (CICL).
Ms. Sheila hosted the program. Together with Chummy Chum, they’ve prepared parlor games and lots of surprises for the children. Ms. Sheila invited a funny clown to entertain the kids. Everyone was happy and thought that was all it until Chummy Chum (the mascot) came into the room. The children were very excited, they played with Chummy Chum.
Everyone received surprise gifts from Ms. Sheila together with her loved ones and friends from their church, and Chummy Chum. They made sure the children would feel they are loved. The event was brief but definitely gave hope to all the children victimized by social uncertainties.
